This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
I haven't forgotten either. I'll probably try something this weekend - been a little busy this week, squashing four issues into two weeks so that everyone can take a break over Christmas.
I tried last weekend too, but all attempts to get anything going there were dismal failures.
If you could see the shyte that I produced the last time, you'd probably change your opinion on that.
Still, I've been itching to draw something lately. Just been a little busy getting through two Sunday Times issues at once so that everyone can take some leave over Christmas. I'm off tomorrow, strangely, so I'll try and do something then.
Um, sure. But before I do that, if you want me to make any useful observations about your work, you'll need to tell me exactly what it is that you want to achieve?
Cartoonist? Illustrator? Concept artist? Animator? What is the reason that you draw?
The reason I draw is because I am free to be who I want to. I am basically an illustrator and I am good with oil pastels. Just look through my gallery and review............THNX A LOT I WILL BE REALLY REALLY GRATEFUL TO YOU
Anyway, if you want to be an illustrator, or should I say a professional illustrator, then you've got resign yourself to the fact that people are going to expect you to draw a wide range of things.
I think you know where to start as well as I do. You've had some fun until now doodling characters and some pretty flat stuff - now you'll want to knuckle down and learn some fundamentals. Since you plan to be an illustrator, you'll probably not always have reference for everything you want to draw. That's where having a strong fundamental knowledge of drawing comes in incredibly handy - the ability to have an idea, break it down into critical shapes in your mind, draw those shapes on paper and then build up the image you want - just as it was in your head. That's what you need to be able to do.
Came to visit, because I don't want you to forget our agreement!
